The Sauna Index

Privacy policy

This policy says what The Sauna Index does with data about its visitors. It describes our real setup, and not every practice we could have.

Last updated: 29 August 2026

1. Who we are

The Sauna Index is published by Worldwide Internet Services US LLC.

Worldwide Internet Services US LLC16192 Coastal HighwayLewes, DE 19958United States

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that company. It is responsible for the data described below.

2. The short version

  • This is a static site. There are no accounts, no login, no comments and no forms.
  • We sell nothing. You buy from a seller, on the site of that seller, under its own terms.
  • We run no analytics product, and we set no cookies of our own.
  • We keep no email list. Therefore we hold no address of yours.
  • A seller, or the network behind it, may set its own cookie after you click a link out to it.

3. What we collect

You give us no data through this site. There is no form, no login and no comment box.

Two things happen when we serve a page to you:

  • The company that hosts this site writes access logs. A log line records an IP address, the page asked for, the time, the browser string and the page you came from.
  • Nothing else. We run no analytics product, no advertisement network and no tracking pixel.

We do not build a profile of a reader, and we do not try to identify you.

4. Why we use it

Access logs keep the site up. They show us errors, and they show us abuse.

We make no automated decision about you, and we use no data about you to advertise.

5. Cookies, and the affiliate cookie

We set no cookies of our own.

When you click a link from this site to a seller, that seller, or the network behind it, may set a cookie in your browser. It records that The Sauna Index sent you. The seller therefore credits a later order to us.

That cookie is theirs, on their domain, under their policy. We cannot read it, and we cannot delete it for you. It normally lasts from a day to a few months.

You can block or clear these cookies in your browser at any time. Your price does not change, and this site still works.

You can read every page here without any affiliate cookie. One can only be set after you click out.

6. Who your data reaches

We do not sell data about you, and we do not release it for anyone else to advertise to you. It reaches only:

  • the company that hosts this site, which writes and holds the access logs;
  • anyone we must disclose it to under valid legal process, or to protect a person from harm.

Sellers you click through to are not on that list. They collect data from you directly, once you arrive on their site.

If this business is ever sold, the data that it holds may move with it. We would state the sale on this page first.

7. Where it is processed

We are a US company, and this site is written for a US audience. Data about your visit is processed in the United States.

Our host may serve pages from servers in other countries. If you read this site from outside the United States, assume that data about your visit reaches the United States.

8. How long we keep it

We hold no log of our own. Our host writes the access logs and keeps them under its own schedule, and we do not copy them.

We keep no email list. We keep anything you post to us only as long as we need it to answer you.

9. Security, and the honest limit of it

The site is served over HTTPS. It is static, and there is no database of readers to steal, because we keep none.

No transfer over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe that a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. California residents (CCPA and CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to:

  • know what categories of personal information we hold, where they came from, why we hold them and who they went to;
  • get a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you;
  • have that personal information deleted, with the exceptions the law allows;
  • have inaccurate personal information corrected;
  • opt out of any sale or share of personal information, and limit the use of sensitive personal information;
  • be treated no worse for the use of any of these rights.

The categories are identifiers, which means an IP address in a server log. They also cover internet activity, which means the page asked for and the page you came from.

We collect no sensitive personal information, no biometric data, no precise location and nothing about your work, your studies or your money.

We do not sell personal information for money. Whether the affiliate cookies in section 5 count as a sale or a share under the CPRA is under legal review.

We will state that answer here plainly. Until then, you can opt out: block third-party cookies in your browser, and write to us at the address below.

To make a request, write to us by post. We will answer within 45 days, and we may extend that once by 45 days if we tell you why.

We hold no accounts. Therefore we usually cannot connect a log line to a named person. Where we cannot show that the data is yours, we will explain that instead of guessing.

An authorised agent may make a request for you, with your written permission.

11. Visitors in the EU and the UK

This site is operated from the United States, and it is written for buyers in the United States. We do not offer goods or services to people in the EU or the UK, and we do not monitor them.

A reader there can still write to us about data that we hold.

12. Changes, and how to contact us

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the date above. We note a material change on the page for a period. We do not make it in silence.

Write to us by post:
